Sept. 2025 Update

Gone for a very long time does not cover it. However, we are back.

You may gave noticed a lot of activity on social media, I have been shaking the dust off of everything and updating things; transferring files, breaking back into my own accounts and making sure things are all accessible at my fingertips again.

Here’s the deal; Planet O-oot is going to become a novel. That is, we are very close to getting the manuscript done at this point. The phase we are in is the “okay one more time” (after huge revisions… again.). This does not mean Planet O-oot will cease to be an RPG setting; the change is that a novel will be published to establish things and then that will become the foundation to pitch bigger projects. The issue is that I cannot, after many years, complete an RPG piece on my own. Even with a ton of help, the reality is something needs to be made first that is within my means to complete without fail to then show others who then might be able to help make the RPG a reality.

In the very near future, I am going to re-vamp the entire site to focus on the book. I want to assure everyone who has been following that a lot, if not most of the site’s information (and MUCH MORE) will get crammed into the novel as a codex. So no matter what there will be a physical document representing everything important that use to be hosted here. On top of that, I have backed up the website on the waybackmachine just in case.

I cannot promise when the switch-over will happen, but I am excited to show you what I’ve been refining for the last three years. In the most concise terms, writing a game book, or a lot of world building in general, is a lot like writing non-fiction. What I did not realize is how “serious” fiction, writing good prose, is basically an entirely different skill set. It took a very long time to teach myself how to write completely over again. But it looks like we’re close now; it’s publication will be within the next 6 months.

And no; we will be sharing the process, but not hyping it up until after publication. The first chapter / 20 pages will be free to read at that point, along with the codex which will be made part of the free preview.

Thank you for your time,

Admin P.
